He place his finger under his chin to take all the information that was given. “Negative. I apologize but I can’t take such deal. I don’t believe first that those magazines are related to my mission in protecting you and second would such magazines really explain everything that constitute the world? Those points first have to be explain” he asked her in return as he looked for the notes.
“Found it” he told her and showed her the orange notebook from her class. “We cna leave now, we still have 15 minutes with 33 seconds. I we leave now we may be able to get there 2 minutes and 47 seconds before the deadline” hee xplained to her.
Of course he would dismiss any suggestion of really really blending in with actual society. And of course he would somehow to turn the attention back to his mission in protecting her. But she had to smile at his choice of words, however strange they might sound to her ears. She cocked her head when he pulled out her notebook.
“What? Two minutes and forty seven seconds? Impossible Sousuke!” she began, “We won’t make it in time, yeah we might be late but we’ll get there…”
She slapped her face when she saw the determination he had on his face. “Before you begin Sousuke… we will ride under the city bicycle speed limit, do I make myself clear?”
“a notebook is not the same as a gun, but why would it need a warning sign?” he commented but did not fight her need to tag along. Sagara rarely resisted something, -% if it came as an order or from someone of higher power or rank; that was just how it worked in his life for now and for a long while.
“I’ll make sure to do that the next time I need your assistance on the class. That way you can keep the original work safe from others” he explained to her and started to walk upstairs.
She followed him upstairs and decided to bite down her sarcastic tongue in regards to warning signs. Kaname always wondered why no one in Mithril had ever bothered with explaining to Sousuke the difference between sarcasm and being literal. The guy needed to seat down and watch some quality TV to catch up with the changing times. He resembled nothing more than a caveman guiding himself with what he sees and not caring to figure things out.
Her feet dragged themselves up the stairs, she sighed heavily, “Ya know something Sousuke?” she began, “I think you should consider reading a magazine- not about air crafts, AS’s, or anything military… but like a pop culture magazine!”
Sagara clilbed the stairs until they got to the door. He pulled out his keys easily and opened the door.
“Why do I need to read a pop culture magazine?” he asked not just because he wanted to know why, but because he didn’t know what kind of magazine that was in the first place, though he remembers that the day before coming to this island Mao gave him some magazines about happy teenagers. There ads for clothes, make ups. People in odd positions. He didn’t understand a lot of it.
Kaname just couldn’t believe he was asking why. She pulled a face, “Really? Come now Sousuke it’s pretty obvious why. You got to catch up with the world around you! The more you feed your brain with senseless idle pop culture the more you’ll understand how this,” she motioned with her arms, “works!”
She winked at him, “Trust me if by the end of the week you still don’t get what kids mean by, ‘my bad’, then I’ll not copy but give you my notes for the rest of the month. So is it a deal?” she asked putting her hand out.
Of course Kaname knew he would not rise to the challenge, but one could always hope. If Sousuke agreed to this little deal then perhaps he might agree someday to not take weapons to school; he would after all comprehend the full danger they pose to society in general. She smiled at him.
“Y-yes he did. Is ok. He never used it” she told her as she looked around. She was afraid of this girl. She seem very serious and dangerous. Even more than sagara. ” I don’t know. I didn’t know them, but-but sagara took them to dtention”
She nodded, “Well that’s good….” she trailed off. Yuu seemed like a very nice girl, a too nice girl, perhaps that was why she was picked on by some random jerks. She patted her shoulder, “Good thing Sousuke was there then,” she smiled. “So, Yuu, what clubs are you in?”
“yes, he helped me and my sister a lot” she told Kaname and tried not to be so nervous. “I’m in Loko and um…. Book club. What about you?” she asked her. She was till a bit scared of kaname.
She said out loud, “Loko… that’s the one with the kittens right? Mmm… I was thinking in joining it, but I’m not sure how it would go, I mean what do you do there exactly? Watch cat videos? Find orphan kittens a home? What is it exactly?”
“yes, it is” she said a bit nervously. “We… take care of stray cats, find them homes, keep them healthy and safe. It is a good c-club” she told her.
Kaname thought about it for a while, “Mmmm… stray cats you say?” Perhaps, she should consider joining such club, after all she had a thing for helping poor defenseless critters. But she wasn’t much of a cat person, besides she had a hamster, the cat could probably eat it. “I got a pet hamster so nevermind adopting stray cats, but if you guys are still accepting applicants do you think I can join? I do need something to do with my Monday mornings,” she said.
Sagara nodded and understood that mission and when she decided to scream the order he just did that without any complain and did a sharp turn to the left, which led them to the apartment complex. Sagara knew he said they could go in a train, but they couldn’t take the bike, reason why he didn’t stop.
“Want to stay here or go upstairs with me?” he asked her as he got out of the bike rubbing his thighs a little since he was propelling all the time. He didn’t know if Chidori was in pain, but he thought she should rest for a little while.
She blinked many times before answering him. Perhaps, because she was really trying to keep her curiosity down as to how messed up his place might be; or how many mines, booby traps and such there might be. Kaname pulled a face. “Sousuke I think your place should have a warning sign or something… but I’ll tag along because I’m pretty sure you won’t be able to locate my notes among your many weapons.”
Kaname got off the bike and immediately felt the effect of sitting on the bike. Her ass was throbbing, her back was aching and that was just the beginning of what felt like the burning sensation of numbness. Great!
“You know next time you need to copy my notes just let me know ahead of time, by that I mean an hour or so, that way I can do a copy for you,” she suggested to him.

He wanted to ask why she was asking so many questions, but decided not to as much as he had the urge to. None of the question had to do with their mission, or her notes, or his assignments. None of them. It didn’t bother him, but he wanted to keep things on his path and not have things that may try to deviate from it.
“When I’m old it would be the time I’m unable to serve anymore. I don’t need medals or honors. I just need to serve and all those services would be my achievements as I did all my duties and I will be please that my services avoided wards, ended wars and brought peace. I don’t understand the seed part by the way, I can’t plant something on a submarine, but if you mean how deserted the battlefields are it would depend on the are because not all of them have a good soil to plant.” he explained to her.
(ooc: love is not simple at all by the way)
Kaname facepalmed herself. Yeah, that was exactly along the lines she had imagined he would say; so why ask him anything at all if she could already second guess his response. But he was right… except the planting a seed in the submarine part, he had not understood her point apparently or he was simply bothered by her asking it to begin with, her guess was the first.
“Well,” she began, “you better complete your mission and get my notes or you’ll have hell to pay later Sousuke.”
She wanted to know so much more about him… but knew that he would never reveal anything. Ever. It wasn’t that there was a barrier to be broken, there just weren’t any to break. He was one dimensional. There was nothing more to him than what he showed… or just perhaps there was. Oh well whatever. Right now she needed her notes.
“Can’t you ride any faster!” she screamed at him. “I swear Sousuke it seems as if you just learned how to ride a bike.”
